Become a Top Speed Host Family
Every summer from late May till early August, developing college baseball prospects come to Northern California for the chance to showcase their skills against some of the best competition in the country. The players will come from all over the United States to participate in the Pacific West Baseball League and to be part of the Top Speed Baseball Team. For our team, the Host Family program is a vital part of success both on and off the field. Having our players become part of a local family, helps these young men feel an added sense of belonging in a strangenew city. With college baseball players coming to Northern California from their respective schools across the country chasing their dream of someday being the next, CC Sabathia, Derek Jeter, Cliff Lee or Albert Pujols you and your family have the opportunity to be a host family for one of these fine young men.
Hosting a Player
Players will live by your family house rules.
They will help whenever possible with things around the home.
Players will be positive role models for your children, spending at least a few hours weekly hanging out with them.
In return, you provide adequate sleeping and storage space for players and their belongings.
You provide some meals for player when not on the road.
Players are also encouraged to help provide meals for themselves.
Also, an occasional ride if a player does not have their own transportation.

We really need host families for our out of area players. I remember when I played in college summer leagues around the country and was 2000 miles away from my family and I was put in with a host family that I didn’t know. After all was said and done it was an overall great experience for everyone. The experiences I had with my host families were very positive and I still talk to them and keep in contact with them till this day.
